Sir,

I would like to seek the courtesy of your newspaper to publish this letter on the above subject matter. This will help attracting the attention of the concerned authorities towards the matter.

It’s a pity that the gutters of the city keep overflowing throughout the city. The Municipal Authorities are not paying any attention towards this problem. These overflowing gutters are responsible for the growth of mosquitoes and a thus are great health hazards. They can also cause a number of other diseases – and are a cause of pollution too. The whole area stinks wherever a gutter overflows.

This problem has reached at its extreme and consequently creating panic among citizen. I hope that the concerned authorities must, therefore take some prompt and necessary action to overcome this problem.
