Subject: Complaint Against The Shortage Of Water And The Supply Of Contaminated Water

I would like to seek the courtesy of your newspaper to publish this letter on the above subject matter. This will help attracting the attention of the concerned authorities towards the matter.
The city is facing the problem of shortage of water. Some times water does not come for a week. This duration is on the increase. Besides, the water, which comes through the taps, is contaminated with gutter water. This water is very dangerous for human consumption. The authorities suggest that water should be boiled first before drinking while doctors say that such water is unfit for drinking even after boiling. They suggest that people should use mineral water. However, all the people of the city cannot buy mineral water.
The authorities should take steps to provide people with clean drinking water.
